Getaway, SeaTrek or Capt. Tony's?

Post by Desert Caster »

Going to take my son on his first "deep sea" fishing trip. After catching his first big ocean fish last fall he has decided that the big water is more fun than the back country. We will be staying in Naples, but there are no full day boats there, so we'll drive up to Ft Meyers.
I would imagine that these boats are pretty much the same but does anyone prefer one over the other and why?
Are they just "grunt" boats or is there a real chance at bigger fish? I;d like to do the all day trip to get the extra miles out and to some deeper water, worth it?
How is their gear?
Do they allow you to bring live bait?
Would it be OK to bring something that can cast or is it bottom straight down fishing onlyallowed? (to take a cast at maurading gamefish that may present it's self)

What are the chances for Kings, Cobia or Bonita from between April 17th to April 27th?
