THE TIPS WHERE ALL OVER

Post by fixed80 »

the tips were bad last night.... but that's a good thing though. i say about every minute went by.... one or 2 sharks would leap in the air. i was amazed at that. one shark was even in the wash zone about ankle deep of water.

unfortunately... no hits on the bait until night came. that's when it got kinda crazy
out there. one bait would get hit, then another. and then a few minutes go by after i paddled a bait out, another shark would hit it. we had probably 8 or 9 hits total last night before 9pm but all we got was one black tip. yeah i know. went 1 for like 9 on the sharks. buy hey... that's why i said i went for the practice. :) by the way. Bolo, the one that was caught ate the bait with the j hook. i guess i need to use more J's.
the rest were on circles and the hook would set. it could be that the circles i used
didn't have a wider gap on them. i should get 20/0 C's if i wanna fish for sharks.
but i bought 10/0 J's this time for 20 bucks(10 of them). oh and that included the coupon too. oh and Jordan(if that's your name), the the sharks have been active up here or should i say at the location i went too. so in about two months, they should be headed down your way in full throttle.

here is my blue that i caught on a tsunami spoon. actually it got hooked on its head.
my bluefish.

nick fighting the shark on MY rod which i gave it to him cuz he aint caught one in a great while. it was like taking him to Disney land without the rides. lol

there's the little mutt.
this shark like i said was caught on the J hook. thats why you see blood on the side. it didn't get gut hooked thank goodness.
it was hooked around the tong and this fish went nuts the whole time. so i cut the leader
and pulled the shark to the water and it took the F out of there real quick.

i will probably go back out to put more practice in but i wont go the the other spot though.

Good stuff dude, fish J hooks with a running man that's the best way to stick the hook IMO.

Can't wait for that down here.

I'll try to tear em up. oh and my bad when i said one shark was in the ankle deep zone. it was really in the knee deep water. anyway... next week if the water is calm enough,
i might soak a big ray or Bonita for larger sharks. gotta get the big mommas out there. :)

If you dont mind saying how far north were you? Sounds like the start of the spinner/Tip schools and just wondering how far north they are.
