Arrived at the pier around 5:30am and already a line was forming.
Proceeded out to the T -End and got setup and began catching bait.
Water was perfect, wind was perfect, bait choice was greenies, sand perch, whiting, lookdowns, and spots. everyone pretty much filled up the bait buckets and 1st king hit mid morning caught by Andre, a former co worker of mine. His first King weighed in around 22 lbs

Shortly after yours truly gets a run and winds up to be a shark which released on his own. Then not long after the first shark hit my Avet LX began to sing again and winded up with this catch which was released after being unhooked.

Then it was all hits, runs and errors all day after that.
3 or 4 kings lost. 1 Tarpon lost and cudas swimming close by.
Fish ranging from 21 lbs up to 35 lbs brought Over The Rail, and just as I was packing up around 8:30pm another round of fish came by and set off 3 reels and one was mine that I left out till the last minute while I was packing up my gear with a nice big spot for bait and this fish had to be huge because it almost spooled my Avet LX Loaded with 350 yds of 20lb test in under 40 seconds.
I had to tighten down on drag more than I wanted to and as I started reeling in the line went loose and winded up bringing in only half a leader. I would say that fish was over 40lbs but no one actually got an eyeball on it.
Win some Lose some.
All in All a Fun day on Jax Beach Pier.
