Late report so I'll make it short. It was staff training week here where I work so we were taking all the new/old mates out to hone and teach fishing skills. We ran out past the reef in quickly found a bucket with a lockjawed sub-10 inch triple tail, and decided to move on. In short order we found a nice bucket holding a cornucopia of species and also noticed a pack of triple tail holding close, maybe 8 or so. We trolled around and picked up a decent 10lb cow, and called our other boat over, which picked up a 'hoo and another nice dolphin on the deep bait. We then decided to hone in on the Tripletail and ended up with 5 keepers between the two boats and we caught about 3 more that were undersized or just barely legal so back they went. After leaving the bucket behind we headed to the reef to teach reef fishing, and didn't really have anything to write home about as we were all pretty worn out from working a bucket for the last 2 hours. All in all a great day of good fishing, friends, and teamwork. Here is a picture of me lookin' goofy holding two of the triple tail caught. Tight Lines.
And the newly trained crew with their hard earned catch
