2-21-09 Billfish Challenge on the Direct Threat

Fishing with Roy on the Direct Threat Contender. A bit of a late report, but w/e. We went 2-4 on sails in boynton. Bite was in Palm Beach and fish were moving south.

Thats me in the white grundens.

I can find boats to go on every weekend just like you frayed, but it doesnt compare with landbased fishing, its no where near the challenge or fun, theres nothing like slinging a bottom rod.

There is nothing wrong fishing on a boat. It opens your fishing opportunities for better catch. You just don't have to be a butthead about it. This is why people act ill towards Frayedknot.

Yup, two different animals completely, both with their pro's/con's. I work on boats 5 months out of the year in the keys, yet still get the same amount of enjoyment boatless fishing, if not more sometimes, due to the challenges posed by fishing from a fixed structure. In the end it's all fishing and it's all good

It is annoying sometimes though when people try and turn it into a p*ssing contest with the whole "look how cool I am" or "look at all the cool stuff I do". I just like to catch fish and have fun. End Rant.

Hmmmm interesting, I always catch it late. Frayed, I think its too late for you, but I can assure u that if you would have posted some sailfish pics and not talked about yourself at all, at the very least they would have told u grats on the catch... Youre young, just gotta learn, money doesnt make a person, by far... Some of the best people Ive come across are homeless. Try and be modest bro, and if you have and can give, do it, without expecting anything back, even recognition, believe me you will feel good. Also, being cocky will get you nowhere, just be made fun off... Good luck with life man...
