DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A 7News viewer captured an explosion on the beach, after the bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious package.

The bomb squad safely blew up the suspicious package on the sand near the Deerfield Beach fishing pier.

There was no word on what was inside the package.
