Pompano Fishing Pier 2011 "ONLY REPORT"

Went out saturday at 7 am, looked dead. went out sunday at 8, one nice keeper pompano, one undersize, still slow on pier. rumor from commercial fisherman that large schools of pompano off vero beach, maybe we will get another shot at them.

10am-3pm slow. a few small macks taken on lures. had fun killin the blue runners though

I was just wondering has any body been out ? no reports for a while? goodolemikey you haven" been out ? well hoping to get out this weekend,,, just wanted to know if anyone has been catching anything lately.

you know me I been out just nothing worth reporting on,,,, small blue runners around and this morning I got 12" cuda,,, see now thats why I havnt been reporting,,, I am hoping once the wind turns around the fishing will pick up again,,,Thiggy if I dont see you have a very merry Christmas

Hey Mike, good to hear from ya, I guess its been pretty slow at pompano,, well Im gonna try and get out in the AM try my luck. but i went out tonight for an hour and spoke to some peeps that had been there all day, they said it was dead. while i was there a nice mack was caught but that was it....

hopefully thing will pick up. see ya out there.

Fished last night from sunset, just for an hour or so, then headed down to Anglins, caught my first lane snapper! But it wasn't a keeper so I called it a lame snapper and threw it back, had fun meeting nice people, first time there at that pier

hey roos, after you left i went to the T and lost a nice mack on a crappie jig. but saw one guy pull a Nice mack over and a couple lost. but nothing else. i was there from 6-11 am. then i went over to the bridge and caught 1 good size jack and 2 keeper grovers on live shrimp. good fun.

went out at 7 am for 1 hr. caught 2 decent macs and lost 2. some bluefish and sheephead coming over rail.. maybe picking up a bit...

Hit the pier from 6_10am landed 4 Spanish macs on yozuris'. Hard wind and rough waves at the time.

Went out at 3:30 pm for a little more than an hour..100 casts ,one very nice mac. slow but sweet.............

Went out 7 am, 2 mediocre macs and 2 fall offs plus several hits... a porpoise showed up and everything went dead. sweet for awhile.............

The wind shifted to northeast by noon. Lots of Macs around in the afternoon

What does that mean "jap guys" killing the macks? They have a special technique?

Yeah, instead of a rod and reel, they use a Bokken with a couple glow sticks on the end.. works every time!!

Did not mean to be politicaly incorrect, fish with them all the time , great guys. Went out at 7 am, 3 decent sized macs but a little sl0w on pier...wind se
