You guys ever get the Gogs hanging out at that pier like they can at Anglins? I don't recall enyone ever saying much about Gogs. I love Anglins but Deerfield is so much closer to my new place.

They get bigger schools then Anglins. However, since the pier is higher then Anglins you need a day with little wind to bug for them. I bug for them during the early morning. The people on the pier tend to snag the gogs which tends to spook them. I like catching gogs at Anglins.

Didn't fish today but took a walk out on the pier out for about 45min and didnt see anyone catch anything. Saw a few small cuda on the deck that was about it. On my way out though I saw one of the pier rats rod double over ended up being a med sized stingray they had snag. So I watch for a few minutes as they gaff the stingray and bring it up(only took the kid 7 or 8 tries to gaff a 3 1/2ft. wide stingray

). Anyway the kid then proceeds to remove the barb off the tail and take a picture with it. So then one of the kids says hey lets use it for shark bait tonight and the other kid goes no Im just going to throw it back and chunks the ray over and it lands flatside down and goes belly up to the bottom. Then another kid proceeds to snag it again. It was truly sad to see what they did to that fish. Let me tell you it takes a real "MAN" to snag a stingray just for a pic

. It was a sad sight today wish I would have never walked out on the pier. (FYI I dont have any issue with snagging rays to use as bait but to snag it and gaff it just for a pic and to throw it over in the manner it was done sucked)

Gotta tell you, they are lucky I was not there cause there would have been hell to pay. I've had my run in with these kids before and lets just say they ended way up..... ON THE LOSING END

They are SCUM..
I will be going to Anglins I guess. Thanks for the heads up!!

Just a rumor.

I couldn't care less what rules they have over there. I don't fish there. Was just saying something I heard the other night.

I have only fished that way a few times. I could take it or leave it. I would like to see how the two rod trolly system works though.

Go to Jacksonville Pier. The entire T is 2 rod trollies. Real ones. It works as a breakaway,.. like fishing an outrigger on a boat. Thing with them is they prevent other people from fishing the end of a pier that want to fish a different way.

They need to band them freaking sucks in the way for everything eles. If they free line they would be surprise how much fish they would catch. It should be one rod out ,you dont need 3 rods out at a time freacking crazy . I wish a school of jacks would come annd take all there rods lol

I have never in my life fished a Trolly line and have caught every fish I ever wanted to catch. Free lining is a Great way or just one rod with a Ballon worked and still works great for me!
P.S. Count me in for the Channel 2 Clean up this Month!

Nope, kevin lost of all his because they dropped his baits, and the one I hooked jumped and completely destroyed my leader, bit right through my wire

thats to bad. mine did the same thing like kev's.... hook up but then lose it cuz it wasn't fully lodged in its mouth. the other one did but rolled in my leader and cut through my mono which is 80lbs. those tips honestly to believe it can be much harder to land then bulls and hammers all because they jump and bite through leaders them sons of *****.

if they are tearing through your leader when they jump its because your fishing to much drag
when they start jumping n such u have to basicly put your reel in free spool

I like using cable instead of solid wire for spinners. It is flexible and will not kink your leader.

yeah but even with cable you have to use a peace thats atleast twice the length of the fish
