Did you take a ride in a DeLorean and go back in the future? Peeps have been jigging Hoos and other things for years.
I was there yesterday till 9:30 pm. Tired if the windy rain. Caught 7 or 8 Muttons. 1 keeper, a few Bluefish. Got old out there. Saw 1 Mack caught on the T before dark around 3 pounds tops.
xtheline shed some light on this subject for me foster. every pier goes through phases. me and harley brought back trollieson anglins a few weeks back. its not like noboty ever fished one before there but people hadnt in a while. we produced fish and people saw so they started fishing them. according to harley they have already started thining out again. thus the end of this phase until someone else fishes a trolly and produces in about a month or so.
well its just like a phasee but to me honestly i havent seen anybodie throw ballyhoos in so long and i remembered that ballyhoos make awesome bait so i just threw them and befor you no it everybodie was throwing them i only said that i started that because i dident se anybodie throw them in like forever and then i just started throwing them. but excuse me if yall took that the wrong way.

good luck and tight lines everyone
i fished during my lunchbreak today. given the time of the year, there was plenty of bait...too bad i didnt come equipped with my sabikis. for those who caught gogs, AJs were pretty active for them.
i think i'll head out there early tomorrow morning.
fished the pier from 4am with chad and other forum members not much waz happening water was clear we got cudas then around 7 or 8 a huge school of 150 to 200 lb tarpon roll by they wouldnt eat anything so we went to the T and loaded up on ballyhoos chunked one up caught bout a fifteen inch mutton released then around maybe 9or ten a fat school of ajs came by nailing the gogs and sardines but they refused to take a jig after that it was pretty slow then later on chad hooked up to a huge aj -broke off- then he dropped a sabiki down got a gog on it and on the way up an aj took it and chad waz on for bout another 10 seconds lol then i hooked up to 1 lost him then got another live gog hooked up to a nice one who spit the hook when i waz goin to flip em then chad caught a snook and i stayed tiill 10 30 hooked what looked to be a blacktip but he cut me straight up and down
there was a run of macks around 1pm or so - caught 4, kept 2, and released an 18" mutton. Gogs were there... just a little tough to catch. At least we caught something this time
