with my NY mentality I wouldnt let anyone at any pier tell me what to do. If they did there rods would be in the water and they would be going swimming after them the hard way

I am, and I am....Dont fish near me, I'll sneer and curse you out in spanish while taking up the entire corner with my 908723987456 trolley rigged rods and yes, James all the while in my gucci loafers.  :D

ROFLMAO !! HAHA....Piers are Piers - they get crowded on weekends. Period. If you have a clue, can cast straight and use enpough weight to keep your line put you will have NO PROBLEMS finding a spot to play in at the sandbox. If you cast a 2 oz barrel sinker with a bass-pole at the T - Then then the kids playin at this ( or any other ) sandbox will let you know why you have chosen your technique unwisely...

Some of us are polite about it and try to help - Others who's parents loved them a little less as kids are downright shiotty about how they will inform you that you are F in it up. Look for me if you are there or JWright or XPierrat....We'll point you in the right direction everytime. Cant miss Zach either - he's not as scary as he looks...lol. However I will say that on the T on the Weekend is NOT the time to practice casting. Its like playing for the Yankees, nobody goes there to learn, you are expected to have your game down to a degree. Nobody was born good at this - we ALL Had to learn ( Im still learning everyday)

the funny thing is the look they snap at you as soon as they hear footsteps coming to towards the T. And when you finally get there everyone is just waiting to see the spot you pick hoping you dont get within 10 feet of them 8)

I can pick em up anytime between now and 4 AM Saturday. Just ice em down pls no frozen, I work a block from the pier and can pick up anytime between now and then....drop me a PM pls.....

Yeah...well, I haven't been in 5 weeks for a real fishing trip cause even I had enough...welllllllll, they had enough of me griping cause I DO..without a doubt...correct people and complain when I give all of my stuff away..but, because I'm not from here, I guess they thought they were the reason I learned to fish.

Ohh well....but yes, if I ever go back out there, look for me...I will help anyone and everybody cause the pier is Deerfield Beach's not this guy or that guy's. Just know your role, have some humble pie and accept advise given in regards to your 2 oz. egg..yes.

And Zack's my homie and an excellent person--will definitely correct you tho!!!

So, how's it been out there?

Reportedly not much going on this morning, however I arrived later, around 2...this afternoon only saw barracudas and houndies, one small kingfish that was annihilated by a 6 foot cuda before it could be brought up

I guess there have been some macks..all I've heard of this week (Doesn't mean that's all, but...)

Pier has been "unusually empty" from what I've seen. Every morning this week when I've dropped my wife off @ work, there haven't been too many folks out there; however, the water has looked AWESOME!
Wind's been great and the surf's out of control...so..not sure, but I can tell you conditions "LOOK/LOOKED" good.

Well...then selfishly, GLAD that I'm not missing out on anything awesome!

Weird, cause today looked awesome again...but, NO ONE was there (maybe 4 or 5) at 6:30 this morning. Usually, there are at least 10 or so folks on Sunday spread from the baitshack to the T.

About to head down there, so will let yall know if I hear anything from anybody.

Went to the pier from about 6-830p. Bait was thick but hard to catch. Saw a few poons hit trolleys and one guy destroying the mutton snapper at the t caught 4-5 in about an hour and a half. Other than that a few blue runners and one bonita earlier in the day. Did see some dolphin(as in flipper :) ) playing in the surf which I havent seen since I moved here.

Right after you saw the porpoise, did everything go dead?

I know that is usually the case but the dolphins were like 500-600yds south of the pier in the surf. The fishing actually got better after they showed up. This is when I saw most of those muttons come over the rail.
