The report is there are too many douche bags that fish that inlet to make it worth fishing.

I'm one of those Boynton inlet douche bags, I'm there most mornings. The snook have stopped for the most part on the beach but if hunt around you will be productive in the ICW. I have had a couple of days this week where I caught 5 or more snook in short order, xraps and yozuris.
As the jetties are closed we are still catching a few cuda in the inlet using tubes.

:biglaugh: FM I was referring to the jackasses that have probably moved on since the jetties have closed. The guys who dig thru your gear/bait bucket, push out outnumbered anglers, etc.

What can't be fished? There have only been a handfull of days that the incoming seaweed made casting difficult. We have many days of south or west wind coming in, no weed and very little fish off the beach. I'm an early morning fisherman and I see few if any one else on the north beach.

Fished there today till after sundown. Surf was way to ruff. Fished inside and caught one boo runna. Should have stayed home but it was fun getting wet in the surf and rained on.

Hey guys, I don't know if this report counts on the BFF cause we were in a small boat, just inside the inlet on a flat. We were in about 4 feet of water fishing live shrimp. Total score: 2 boo runna, 3 slightly small mahogany snapper, 10 pufferfish, and my 10 year old son just scored his first 18" bonefish.(all released safely) Overall not a very impressive catch, but one of my best days of fishing in 35 years. You cannot imagine the feeling you get when you see the look of panic/joy/excitement on a 10 year olds face when the rod bends double and the drag starts to scream.

I think there are more Bonefish around our area than we think, just no one is fishing for them.

Thanks for the welcome, have been lurking for a while but never had anything worth posting. The bonefish was quite a surprise too, but the boy is now completely addicted to fishing, I love it!!! I want to thank all on this forum for the info and support provided, it has really helped me get back into the swing of south Florida fishing.

edit::Just found the boat section, will post in right place next time...

The gate to beer can island is usually locked until the workers get there, I 've seen people wade across on low tide.

No, that bridge is temporary for the construction only, it is slated to come down once the sea wall is completed............what a pity........lol.

I've caught many fish on the north inside of the inlet but never had big success fishing the north of the bridge. I do hear if you can get on the island or fish it from a boat there is lots to be had there.

Not a jetty report but the beach has been solid with lots of smaller snook with some big one in the mix, cudas and lots of jacks ranging from 3lbs to 10lbs or bigger! All caught on topwater and spoons!!
