This was caught last night. A big one. I got a 1 clawed Stoner last week.
The surprise catch yesterday evening was a 13 inch Pompano.

South on I-95 to Sterling exit, take a left on Sterling, go to US 1, turn left, on Dania Beach Blvd turn right, stay in the right lane, after crossing the IWC, take the first right (follow the sign to Dania Beach), drive to the end, park, pay the fees, go out on the pier and wet a line.
There are other ways to get there but for you I think this is the easist way. Good luck

little bro fished all day today
claims to have caught 19 snook most were in the 20in range in the shallow water with a few mamas mixed in
also said no mac action, ton of bait, and a 19in mutt caught midway down the pier

If you are heading south, ignore that. Get off Griffin, not Stirling. Go east to US 1, Make a right, go east on Dania Beach Blvd, go to north end of parking lot.

fished from 7-9pm yesterday (looked like a refuge camp with so many people out there )

used all types of baits and not a hit, casted lures and nothing. One guy hooked up with a tarpon and another looked like he kept an undersized mutton. Picked up trash from people who can't walk 5 feet to the garbage can. Place looks like it's getting fished hard.

too hard! every morning when i go there, i clean up as much as i can while my rod's are out, and what annoys me is that other fishermen see me do this, and still trash the place. well, i guess some of us do our part and take care of other's. i'm still upset at the guy who urinated on the pier, i'll catch him in the act again and record him and report to pier attendant hoping they kick this guy off the pier.

Now you know how we feel when we do our clean up in the Keys. I don't get upset anymore. I look at it this way, either you feel good doing it because you're making a difference or don't do anything and let it goes to sh*t.

We did 9am - 2pm today with pilchards, squid, googley eyes, and live shrimp.
Blue runners were on fire, few snappers, even caught a box fish, nurse shark and the biggest snook I've ever caught or have seen in person. (even bigger than the ones at sea world)

After about 15 minutes the Snook finally gave up. One of the rangers at the pier started freaking out and screaming at us to immediately cut the line. The snook was a large pregnant female and probably would have died if we waited any longer to let it go. We didn't have time to bring her up with a net as much as we wanted a picture.

Pictures were taken on top of Dania pier probably about 20 - 30 feet high above sea level. The pier official that ran over to yell at us estimated the fish to be anywhere from 4 to 5 feet.

No way to tell really... all i know it was a monster. the photo was taken with an iPhone from the top of pier while the tide was going out. i wish there was a way to figure out how far away the snook was and then calculate depth of field.

Was out from a little after 6:00 until 8:30 with Scotty and his brothers. Water was flat and clear. Bait was thick and Snook were everywhere. The boorunna crew was making sure to drop weights on top of everyone they saw. Needless to say none were caught. While leaving I saw a guy with a spear gun and SCUBA gear headed to the beach. Add the boat I called the Sherriffs dept. on for being about 10 feet off the pier. I think I'll stick to the week day's from now on. It amazes me how many of these people think Zeb and crew have nothing better to do than pick up after them.

Just wait till they rebuild Newport. That place will be the garbage cans of all garbage cans. I hate these lazy slobs. Starting to get complaints from customers about some of these people now.

It's truly is amazing, a pig is a pig is a pig and they will never change. When I worked as a ranger for the DEP, park "guests" would throw their trash on the ground while they were standing there talking to me! I would ask them to please pick that up and they would look at me like I had a third eye.

Was out there from 5:30 till about 9:30. Bait was thick and so were the BOOWANA PEOPLE, AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! I caught one 30 to 32 inch snook and some guy next to me caught two small Bone fish.. Pretty cool!
