I might be heading up to georgia and will stay for a week during spring break...... I know that they have flyfishing there so any help on it would be great.

And why would you come to GA for spring break from SFL?

I think that im going to Helen,Georgia not really sure and im looking to catch anything and im going to GA during spring break cuz i have no other options (im still 15)

Helen GA is a very nice place, nothing like here. My parents have a cabin up in Hiawassee, the fishing out there is mostly bass in the lakes or trout in the rivers. Fwiw there's no liquor stores or strip clubs that far up north in GA, gotta go to the next state for one lol

You can go tubing down those rivers as well. Be prepared to be cold as hell in those rivers

Helen is a strange place - unique is one way to describe it. Anyway, luckily for you there is fishing to be done there. The Chattahoochee River runs right through the middle of the town. It's a colder river so it does hold trout pretty much year round. If you want to go off on your own I'd take a really light spinning outfit and a few small inline spinners like mepps, blue fox, panther martin, etc. 4lbs text line and some small spinners and you should be able to hook up.

Tubing is huge there. In fact it's probably the only reason most anyone even goes to Helen. Places like http://www.coolrivertubing.com/ will be sending hundreds of drunken assholes down the river in bright yellow tubes. There will be no fish to be caught on any days that they are running, so you might wanna check on that. If you have access to transportation, you can head further North to avoid that mess. There are some other rivers, streams, and lakes in the area too. There are professional guides available if you wanna do that. There's a federally protected catch and release trophy trout stream nearby too.

Unicoi state park has a stocked stream that runs through it. It's C&R during certain times of the year.

There is some access to the 'Hootch through town, as mentioned above. It's a different experience fishing a stream with shoppers walking around.

Unicoi Outfitters is located in the area. They'll be able to point you in the right direction as well.
