What's your favorite Snook Fly ?

Post by onshore »

My favorite Snook fly is a White Deceiver tied with a polar bear (subs.) wing with just a half dozen strands of flashabou and a very sparse chartreuse or green topping and plastic eyes.

What's yours ?

It depends on where I am fishing. Some spots, I go with a shrimp pattern, other spots, baitfish flies.

Does anyone know of good a small baitfish pattern? I need a fly that suspends very well. I have a few that I use, but am always open to ideas.

Decievers, seaducers, Half & Halfs, clousers, gummy minnows, and Polar Minnows should work fine for snook.

What beachbum said is basically what Capt. Scott Hamilton uses....his Eat-Me-Green fly.

I think you'll have to tie it yourself...

It shoudl work fine if you tie it with polar bear or white marabou, with some krystal flash or flashabou.
