Boatless Fishing Forum, Reports, Info

Got out not knowing what to expect for viz, but i couldnt take staying in for another day. Ran down to oakland and it paid off. the first and second reefs had horrible viz, but it cleared a little bit on the third. Shot a decent hog on the start of the third and Tim (my brother) shot a nice rock hind. Moved out to the outer edge. I Spotted a hog frolicking around this sea fan so i "went down" and shot her in the face. I quote went down because i was still somewhat stuffed up from being sick for the last 5 days and i couldnt even go down more than a foot and it sucked. I pushed my self once or twice to go down and it felt like my face was going to burst. Tim also go a hog, a very nice dog snapper and two more rock hinds. o and i shot a squid too. my faviorte.

Sounds like a good choice was made on going out. How big was the squid?
