Boatless Spear Sites in S Florida

Can anyone make some suggestions. I am new to spearfishing and want to find some places I can kick out to. Is Red Reef any good? Also looking for any spearfishing buddies out there, of course I am a newbie to the sport.

you are not allowed to spearfish in red reef but if u really want to try go from 6 and leave before the lifeguards get there, the only thing is that u will only find grovers. theres a reef south of the dfp on about 13 ft of water and theres a wreck of 20+ feet in the southern part of delray beach
