No abalone ,it was all black under wrap Ron btw the green butt wrap its nice , you know when finish gets hard it is almost impossible to keep under wrap , i saw abalone stripes on butt wrap tho but not on the under wraps of guides .Must be another rod Ron...John maybe can clarify

I know what I built and only need to see a wee bit to identify.
That was one out of a set of 4. 2 of that one and 2 of 9' Gator T90 XH with red abalone
The whole KWC crew chipped in with reels and so and I put a 4/0 and buillt the rods. He had gotten his car broken into after a C2 cleanup. We left and his wife and him went back on the bridge again I believe for some whoos and when they came back his car was wiped clean of gear.
We just do not let friends hanging there high and dry.
Nice memory

yes i remember you telling me about it , i notice one of this rods was a gator when i took off guide ,they are still in good cond . Gonna strt building me one ,i need to get me an alignment jig ,did you make yours yourself ? or you bought it?

Ron hopefully Raul didn't take a pic of the way I had the guide rigged on the gator. The other one just had the insert missing. All rods are still good and waiting for your return.

No John you are my friend lol .......Ron?, litsen Johnie did a Macgyver he wrap one foot of the guide with braid and epoxy it not the rod building kind epoxy, took me a while to take all that out ,now it looks like nothing happen ,its back in da game...
