Lil 9'Pike thingamagigger
Just finished this one
9'Batson Rainshadow BP1024F Graphite Glas 12-17LB 1/2 - 2 oz
Bummer they all want 2 piece arounf here. Hardly can get a one piece 9' over here anyway except from Finnland or so
For Pike n such.
CMW Sic Guides - Fuji Sic Tip - CMW Aluminum Butt cap - Fuji Reelseat
Heatshrink X-Flock hole punched - Little Reggae emblem in the rear grip
Komoran Feather in the fore grip (went almost transparent with the epoxy over it)
Note those feathers are collected from his back yard where they just flop around.
He sent me those and they were just what flew around on his porch.
Narrow and nearly closed Spider.
A shame those feathers went nearly transparent with the epoxy over but hey he wanted it like that.

Re: Lil 9'Pike thingamagigger
Thanks
Lukily I have a 220 to 110 Converter for my wrapper n stuff. Just ordered a ALPS Aluminum chuck for the wrapper. Other than that the materials are by far as in BY EFFIN FAR not what we are used to.
Sure there are components that we know but limited and then top $ except for Batson and MHX blanks
Batson is fine MHX tho is Mudhole crap wrap.
Better epoxy is on the way and also better color preserver. Stuff I got here is a biatch to work with.
Next up a 9' Conventional but on the lighter side. Brah something like your fennwick with the SX

Amazing wraps Ron.Maybe needs a little of green high lites .
I guess the 2 piece needs less room to build but then you have to do everything separate.

Re: Lil 9'Pike thingamagigger
Thanks Pat, John
Nah just stick em together and wrap away. I got the space and all. The materials are my prob.
If you want Phenix Calstar Sage or others it is just not economically sound.
Nice carbon rod blanks go for like no less than €400 and that is a pain. People do spend top € for gear tho. I just do not build much at all since it is a 5 hour ride to get to good grounds that hold something that will give me a drill. Them poop lil trout carp n stuff locally are not worth a 1 pound test yoyo once you fished Florida if you catch my drift.
This comming weekend tho STRIZ is gonna get some drill tho. Friday to Monday in hopes of some big Pike and Pike perch als well as some arctic char for the smoker

Was a fun build especially since it has been a while since I wrapped a rod. The flag just fits the owner lol and he is happy with it.

Re: Lil 9'Pike thingamagigger
On the other thread it looks good.
With the top sacrificil thread you can play on your next one with different size threads.
Example try Size A as the top threads with a Size A sacrificial. Then try size C, D and so on.
The effect is a little different by different size top threads. You can also lay a size A and Size D where you use the Size D as sacrificial.
You can also do a CKW wrap where there is no top layer thread at all but instead the top is wqrapped with 30LB clear mono line. The effect is wicked

Re: Lil 9'Pike thingamagigger
I dont do social media crap
Also my internet will be linited the next 2 weeks since I am leaving for the mountains on Monday and back Oktober 1st. Anywho I will have internet but limited. You can ask but give me a minute to respond. Snowflake is simple but needs top accuracy or it will not work out. Especially when you want a closed wrap or do more than 2 axis like a 4 axis with 0 - 90 - 180 - 270 degree crosspoints.
I will get you up and running quick. 3 point layout with an out and out succession
Already confused?
I like it like that lol
