Metal Jigs for sale for Yank Capt Trip

Post by kblue »

As some of you may know, I am entertaining an idea of having my own business of selling jigs...
While I still have a long way to go in order to finish my web site, I would like to supply some metal jigs at good price to forum members...
Anyway, I would like to offer good-enough quality jigs at fixed price of $8 ~ 10/pc with minimum qty commitment of 5.
I will deliver at Yank Capt Boat.

Anyone interested in this, PM me.

I will post pictures of jig as soon as available.

Let me know if you have any question.

Given the fact that I have seen yours and Cudas idea of good jigs ie your wives silverware (tommy I will wait for pictures. I just bought a bunch of slow pitch jigs but need a few verticals and hammered jigs.

SA, SB, SC, and SG below are OEM (private label) slow jig except for SE 240.
You may see these jigs as other brand with private labeling. Quality is good-enough as I said. A little better than Cudaman's knife jig..
I would recommend this low-end jigs to those who is new to slow jigging. You can use them for 1st day when you may lose lots of jigs.
(I recall I got 5 cut off in 2 hours by a school of Kings.) On 2 and 3rd day, you can use high-end jigs that you bought.

But there is a problem. It seems there is no guarantee that delivery time may make it for our PR trip.
OEM Manufacturers are asking 60 days as delivery time due to heavy booking.
If lucky, I may be able to push them for early delivery with small qty... I will do my best.
I may not have all the colors. What I can do is I show the jigs(if I can get them on time) and I will let you choose whatever jig.
No delivery, no jig, no pay.

I am also talking with Japanese company, Hots to get their high-end jigs (Keitan 200g).
Let me know if you are interested in this. It will rob your wallet (If my deal goes through, I expect my selling price will be a little less than $33 for 200g)
I think this jig fully deserves their price tag like most other Japanese jigs. When I saw it in person, I could really appreciate craftsmanship on this jig.

BTW, I will also have some 450 g slow jigging rods (Iron Jerker) designed by Shark guy and manufactured by NS black hole.
According to rod designer, it is designed for slow-pitch and high speed jiggings.
I plan to have three 450g rods (with reel and lines) for anyone's trial, not including one for pool award and one for my own.

My part number = shape code + weight + color code

For example, part number of SE 240g where SE is shape code and 240g is weight

SE 240g ($11)
This jig is deigned by Shark guy for high speed and slow jigging.
It mimics goggle eye.
This hits bottom quickly so good for strong current or to explore various depth.
This jig, although it may look not so fancy, is well proved. ruggedized jig.
(In my crash test, painting on this jig never comes off while painting on shimano butterfly or jiggingworld jig comes off easily)
Recommended for every day.
SE 240g_1.jpg
SE 240g_2.jpg
SA 220g ($8)
This is OEM jig.
This is most common style of slow jig.
It drops S curve.
SA 230g_1.jpg
SA 230g_2.jpg
SB 215g ($8)
This is OEM jig.
This jig drops very slowly.( it means it has lots of slide/horizontal action in fall motion)
SB 215g_1.jpg
SB 215g_2.jpg
SC 220g ($8)
This is OEM jig.
This jig dances like a real bait fish chased by big fish. It has a really good aerodynamics.
SC 220g_1.jpg
SC 220g_2.jpg
SG 220g ($8)
This is OEM jig.
This jig dances like a real bait fish chased by big fish. It seems to have better aerodynamics than SC220.
It has similar color to SC 220. I will use this jig to catch grouper.

That's incorrect. As you know reds are very hard to come by and not found everywhere. This little guy must have been lost cause no reds are found in DT.

Now, I do like the fights in a red vs a mutton lb for lb. I feel like the red fights all the way to the top vs muttons at mid level kind of give up.

No reds in DT? I don't agree with that, they may not be abundant or not something you would target in DT but they are there. Hell its the corner of the Gulf of Mexico/Atlantic both waters which they inhabit. And I'm assuming by DT you mean dry tortugas.

Yes, i have never caught any reds in DT. All the groups I have been with either....besides Herb with that red which must have been lost.

You are right, we never target them cause they are not there. How would one target them at DT? I must be doing something wrong

I wasn't asking if you have caught any I said I disagree, Just cause you haven't caught one or your groups haven't doesn't mean they are not there I don't get where you think you can say there not there just cause you haven't caught one. Get out past 180' on some ledges and drop down a live bait or something active see what happens. No dead or cut baits that won't work. Like I said most don't target them but they are there.
Vertical jigs should work too.

We drop VJ out there as well and no hits. Does pinfish work , ballyhoo or white bait ? All I keep catching with this is muttons and groupers. WTF! are we doing wrong? I went 5x last year to DT

Biggest red snapper I seen caught was on a chicken rig with big squid strips

I'm confused.....he said live bait cause dead bait doesn't work. Well, it might not have been DT where he caught this red and why he hit this chicken rig.

Maybe it's where your going it needs to be a ledge they love ledges id use white and pins the most active bait you can find. The verts will only work if your on top of them. If you really believe there not there it's ok more for the rest.
If your targeting them that's my reccomendation what's to say any fish won't hit a certain rig
Yea I'm done with this convo anyways ruining another thread over something stupid
