9ft gator glass

Post by njp32 »

This is a Gator glass T90H that I am building for a red avet mxl.
I was going for a fire theme with red, orange, and yellow but I think it looks more like a tropical mango
It's also my first attempt at a fade pattern. Tell me what you think...

Nice bit of kit there. I like the color themed line, unless that's an optical illusion. I've had several of those blanks and you can't go wrong, one of the true workhorses.

Not bad at all

Fire is not easy to do. More different reds might of changed it a bit but I think it is a tight look

Thanks guys, I definitely learned alot from this rod. I only used red, orange, and yellow on this one. I think next time I do a fade, i'll use 4 or 5 colors that are closer together in the spectrum to blend it in better. I also found out that by using smaller diameter thread, the fade transitions better. Time for epoxy!!! (tommy

Nice fade.
