foul proof guide rust

We have a good many rod builders here and also those with much to offer about reels, so if you need help with Rods-Reels- or Wrapping do it here

foul proof guide rust

anyone have any sugguestions for how to get rid of rust developing on foul proof guides? or should i just replace them when they get really bad?

Go get rust remover from home depot spray the guides let it sosk for like 20 min n wipe....most the time it's just top rust... But if its rusted into the guide n esting the guide ull have to replace them... Take a Q tip... Go all around the inner part of the guide if u see pieces of the cotton on the guide change it..

I used some stainless steel cleaner. a lot came off. I dont think its under the thread. Its only a couple months old, annoying that its already doing that. I would call crowder but i had it altered. I guess ill just have to was and dry it after every use.
