Order the eva as close to the diameter of the blank and ream to size like cork. Or there is a wood glue trick which requires no reaming.
only the big and strong survive

Re: Need some help with EVA foam Grips
I never ream my grips. There is a rubber cement trick that is said to work awesome. Haven't done it yet. Jim Trelikes Came up with the method and it's spread like wildfire. http://youtu.be/VvbU6rUvapY is the link. I personally still do it with just Epoxy and lubricate the blank with that. It's messy but it works for me and haven't had a problem yet. Just make sure the grip slides down to about half of the blank and then lather up the spot where it rests and then down to where you want it to go then grip it like a stripper on a pole and draw down in a fluid motion (don't stop!!!!!!) I've stopped before and i've been able to get it going again, but it's not easy.
The only time I ever ream my eva grips is when I shape them to small diameters to make custom grips.
