Are there any alternatives to foul proofs. I want to build myself a pier rod but I really do not want to put foul proofs on it because I have had a bad experience with them. I was thinking something like the Fuji Heavy Duty Boat Guides the SiN Model.

I cant seem to find them on Mudhole that would be anything close to what I would want in Casting guides unless you are referring to the surf guides. The only problem I have with those are the fact that thier ring size is to small for the kind of rod I want to put it on.
