I have an almost new Stradic 6000FG, but when i received the reel it did not have the drag cap. Can anyone recommend a supplier other than mikes reel repair (they suck)?

i went to bass pro shops to see if they had the penn fierce 4000 drag cap and to my surprise they had a whole bunch of spare reel parts, especially those caps. Try one of them out !!!!

LOL then you found a friend.... I am only posting this to keep someone from making a unnecessary trip.... Bass Pro does not stock or sell any reel parts

that being said there are an occasional part off a broken reel that lays around till someone tosses it out but do not go there for parts.... what is kept is used to replace parts stolen off of display reels and not for sale....... most of the time we don't have the time to rummage and look for a part even for a good customer since selling it could cost one his job........... BTW I wasn't the one to help you......... glad you got your part.

8) The obvious answer is: just get a hold of Shimano.

Ive got shimano stradic parts up to Lott Brothers. They are not cheap, but cheaper than a new reel.

Well i have tried shimano in the past with no luck, but i will give it another try. It seems to me that they just do not carry many parts for their older models.

mikes reel repair took 70.00 buck from me and shipped me about 30.00 worth of parts... i tried and tried to call them to work it out with absolutely no help. I even sent numerous emails... what a shame to because they have such a great website set up.
