I will get some better Pics in the daylight tomorrow, but wanted to get opinions and comments so far. This started off as a single piece 24" long. I cut pieces to length and started sanding with one hand while operating the drill with the other.

Came out nice

From what I can tell in the pic you smoothed it out nicely.

I almost burnt my hand the first time because I did not wrap the sandpaper around a block lol

I didn't even think about a block... I just folded the sandpaper over on itself a few times and went to work LOL....

Deff. use a block next time. Also I will get some better pics tomorrow and some bigger pics as well.

drywall sanding screen works the best at shaving everything down to shape then you come back with 120 grit or finer sandpaper to remove the burs.

Sorry Crash, this one is spoken for... This is a unique build for a guy in Texas. t is a 5 1/2 ft ultra light 4-8#. He is going to use it to throw small spoons and jigs at reds in the flats and on the oyster beds. I will finish it this weekend and get some good quality pics for you guys... Thanks for the input and comments, they are greatly appreciated!!!!! :dude:
