For the type of fishing your wanting to do I'd say the Cabo.

The first diesel tarpon you hook on the Penn will make it hurt. The cabo has already proved itself to me a couple times and I have had it for 2 weeks. It can stop BIG fish DEAD in their tracks even when they hitch a ride on fast moving water. I was truly impressed with how smooth the drag is when a big fish is taking off!
