Are Star Rods & Ugly Stiks made from the same blank?

We have a good many rod builders here and also those with much to offer about reels, so if you need help with Rods-Reels- or Wrapping do it here

Are Star Rods & Ugly Stiks made from the same blank?

Someone at my work says hes 100% sure they are. Can someone please explain as easy as possible for this guy. Hes a knucklehead who only believes what he speaks. Star Rods are Gator Glass blanks and I believe Ugly Stiks are Shakespeare blanks? Anyone shed some light on this so I can shut him up.

there not the same blank manafactur but they do use the materials.. thats why they seam so similar. there all e-glass
