Real seat and guides I asked for little cork on rod and it had a full thing of cork. When I got the rod the first time it was 6'8 I ask for a 7ft. I returned the rod and he extended it to 7'4 but never moved the reel seat so the butt if a split grip and it hits me in the chest and very uncomfortable to fish with.

Seems like there was some miscommunication between you and the builder. Regardless I'm sure Ron, or any of the other builder will help ya out.

Well, before you spend any more money, figure out what you want, like exactly. "The perfect rod" Is subjective, a matter of personal opinion. Unless it's a number, weight is also subjective. If you're specific about your components & specs, then it's kind of hard to blame anyone. If you weren't, then it's kind of hard to blame anyone.

8) You don't just move the real seat. You have to strip the rod to do it. If your rod is screwed, it is your fault for not explaining what you want exactly.

I wasnt really blaming anybody. If there is anyone to blame its me for picking some out of town to do the job to be honest.

8) Measure from your wrist to your elbow to get an idea of the right fit for the reel seat down. Then add the rest of the length you want for total. Once the seat is on, and the rod is wrapped, that's it. Extension is from bottom down unless the rod is stripped and redone. There are a lot of bullsh*t rod wrappers who thing they are good, yet they suck. Be specific.

Can, we're not jumping on ya, just telling ya, a rod is a very specific taste. To get one exactly how you want it is a little work. Go to a shop and handle some blanks, find the weight/action you're looking for. It's the only real way to be certain.
