Well done man, nice shark with light tackle.miguel456 wrote:This Past Sunday I went Sharkfishing on land with my girlfriend and caught a +7 foot(maybe 7.5 feet since it was easily 8-12 inches longer than my 6.5ft ulgy stick rod) on my bass reel, which is filled with only 30lb powerpro. The story goes like this..I had 4 lines in the water(one of the lines was 50lb monofilament attached to a penn senator 4/0 reel filled to capactiy) and the shark decided to bite my little bass rod settup. At first I taught it was a small shark, but I quickly found out I was wrong-the shark made a long run that easily took 100 yards out.I did the best of my ability and managed to beach the shark in less than 25 Uminutes. A fellow fisherman used my cast net to subdue the shark enough for me to grab its tail and pull it out of the water. We quickly proceeded to take a couple pics, measure her,and release her safety. My girlfriend filmed the whole thing and I am thinking of putting it on YouTube since its not everyday I go catching +150lb sharks from land on 30lb test powerpro.I will post pics later on when I have a laptop available to me.(I post from my cell phone).

I believe it.
Lemons are right up with nurses for the worst fighting sharks...pretty much reeling in a log that shakes its head every so often.
Impressive catch though either way
