nice bull

we hooked up on 6 sharks total from about 9:00am-11:30 yesterday...beached 2 - 1 spinner and 1 lemon (weird seeing the lemon this time of year). Had one Blacktip on that was monsterous..this thing has to be close to 6 feet...he jumped spun and my 80lb broke, must of got caught in his teeth or rubbed on his back.

You're just tearing them up dude! Way to go! I wish the fishing was like that when I was there back in December, but the cold fronts effed everything up...

yeah I thought it was 30-80 lb, I was looking for crowder rods too, but the local tackle shops didn't have the models I wanted, I like using 7 and 8 ft rods.

i release all of the sharks i catch, but every season i keep one male blacktip because the females are full of pupps (you only need to keep one because there is so much meat). have you ever heard someone say that fish tastes just like chicken? i think fish dosent taste like that at all, totaly a different texture! but blacktip steaks taste just like chicken and they have a texture just like chicken. there awesome. ive never tried bull shark.

I kept one small blacktip last year, and still have some vacuum packed in the freezer. It is some of the best fish I've ever tasted, but I did NOT think it tasted like chicken!! But given the choice of BT or Snook, I'll take BT every time!!

This is right on. One blacktip in the freezer lasts awhile. I think keeping one is ok as far as all the other sharks I wouldn't even kill one.
