Shark eggs are a little smaller I believe. Looks like some sort of mollusk shell to me like clam or mussel of some sort... Looks cool though

El oh el

It is sealed up one side and the other is open. Has blunt spines on the big end. The wife found it in the surf. Its really cool looking. The casing is kinda thin.

It is a member of the mollusk family possibly a welk of some sort.

Shark egg casing are softer and usually semi-transparent. You can often see the developing shark inside on the species I have dealt with eggs. I'll see if I can find a pic to post

Some shark eggs. Don't know which, if any local species lay eggs.
