Fin-nor spinning reels?

Post by iAmTylerC »

So I've been trying to catch some sharks with a shakespear walmart combo, a penn pier 209 on a star rod 31 deluxe, and a 309 on an older pole with no name. I'm not great with casting my conventionals so i was looking at one of the heavy duty fin-nor spinning reels. Anyone know anything about them, are they any good?

Their very first run had a few hiccups, but as of late they are tanks of reels for a relatively low investment. Quite a few people on here use them with great success for sharks, so I'd say it'd be good to go. Get a 9500 and load it with 65lb and you'll be set. Welcome to the forum, and be sure to post a report when you catch 'em. :toast:
