I saw less bait fish, less birds, and less sharks than many years past. The patterns are all off, but fish are still there for the catching.

Well, there are definitely fish around. There have been several nice reports from the gulf recently. The Texans caught a lot of shark recently, nice size too. From my experience, things are a little different. Oil surrounds CSB and will hit in the Fall. The surrounding areas have small tar balls and oil sheens are not far offshore. But, there is no reason not to go out and fish hard, I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the fishing. Best of luck, looking forward to the report.
