fished the Flint yesterday with Andy and Richard, both of whom were prefishing the river for the upcoming MCAC Fall Carp Tournament on the Flint River.
For those who have never fished this river, it's a classic Michigan river...strong current and giant snags galore. Whole trees and logs litter the murky depths of this river. And the fish...boy do they fight! These carp have put to shame any other fish I have caught out of other bodies of water. They fight like salmon (minus the cartwheeling), running up and down the river and bulldogging in the deep current...refusing to be netted!
Fishing was a little slow, but Andy finished the day with 12 or 13 runs, and most of the fish landed.
Richard had 8-9 runs, losing a few bruisers due to snags but got a few nice fishing including a pretty ghost
I had 8-9 runs also, finishing up with a crucian, a ghost, and a 23-8 common (biggest of the year for me).
23-8
Richard's ghost

If CE was white he would look like the guy with the beard. Nice Carp. The ones on Griffin Rd canal are much better then that.

The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."
