Boatless Fishing Forum, Reports, Info

I'm up in Hobe Sound. This summer there was acres of bait,and Snook,Tarpon,Mackerel,Jacks,Ladyfish were everywhere
(not the fall mullet run) the heat of the summer loads of greenies,pilchards,menhaden etc.

We had a big swell in Sept and I never saw the bait again. When does some bait start showimg up again? Can one catch bait from the beach on sabiki's all the time?

For the most part you won't see those thick bait schools again unitil spring/summer depending on where you're located on the east coast of florida.

We could see an earlier push by a few weeks due to warm water from El Niño but don't count on it. The heat of summer is guaranteed to bring the bait and fish.
