Keeping Gogs alive

Post by Frogfish101 »

Hey all

I got a 40qt cooler that I want to keep some gogs in. If I add an aerator or 2, frozen water bottles, and keep changing out the water every 5-6 hours, how long can i keep a dozen gogs alive?

Depends how big they are. If they are the gorilla type gogs then you are probably pushing it. Gogs need constant clean water and ample room to move. Also, to make sure they stay alive long you will need use a dehooker and do not touch the gog or allow it to fall on the floor. If they do use them as dead bait.

The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Sorry but you won't. You need a circular livewell with a good pump to keep them alive for any length of time. They are just too active and delicate. A trashcan might work but I see a cooler ending in failure. They will hit a corner and stress out.
