I've seen some lunker snook caught on shad at the spillways in West Palm. I was wondering if anyone knows where to net shad in the Miami area? Thanks

They catch monster Snook on shad in WPB because there are shad in WPB, just use Tilapia, Oscars, and the likes and you'll catch them. Best advice I have is to get there as soon after the spillway opens as possible. Once its been open a few days it slows down, but the first couple can be great.

I figured pretty much any freshwater baits would catch snook. Those big shad are like candy though. I would imaging the shad can be found down here also, but I'm not gonna throw my 12' super pro into uncharted waters in these canals... Thanks

LOLOLO Attached is a pic of the googan shad master. He only comes out during the first shwag tide of the new moon and is rarely caught on film. He caught that snook on a live shad with a sabiki teaser rig. Enjoy.

Hmmh. Bath salts huh? Should I wear gloves so it doesn't get in my system, don't wanna chew any faces. Somebody told me all the causeway shad had herpes and looked like this...
