Try a gold spoon & retrieve real slow for ladyfish.
Some people build bridges. Some people fish off the bridges. Some people burn their bridges. Others should just be pushed off the bridge.
Caught by hand.

free line some live shrimp....You can also use artificial baits and jigs, slowly jerking the in the surface of the water:

gulp it shrimp, DOA shrimps, no need to bite off the tails

As Herb mentioned, freeline shrimp. Ive caught them as well on silver sides too. They aren't too finicky, usually when they are around me they aren't too shy to eat.

Reeling in gold spoons slowly and DOA shrimp (white works well for some reason) just leave it in the water and pop it around a few times.. usually does the trick...

can they be caught at john lloyd park? i toss all kinds of live bait I cast net there and nothing but a big jack here and there, I always surf cast with bottom rigs there and the usual baits I cast net there, I use them as live bait, these include small croakers, pinfish, baby jacks, pilchards and some anchovies
There's no such thing as too much bait!!
