Got this monster from a golf course pond near my house. I watched it munching bluegills when a neighbor was throwing bread to feed the bluegills. It wouldn't take a senko, so I put a live bluegill on a circle hook and within seconds got walloped. I was fishing light line (10 lb. mono, 8 lb. leader) and it popped the line as soon as I got him out of the water. Almost got away.

Re: Personal best bass
Thanks!
Yeah, it's a chunky bass. The next day my son was tossing bread in the water to feed the bluegills and the same bass was hitting the bluegills again. It flipped one out of the water and went airborne in the process, like an orca hitting a seal. It goes to town on bluegills but won't touch artificials.
