Storm Snook

Post by bdawk2020 »

After running some errands earlier I decided to check out a local canal to try out my Sedona 2500 I got for bass fishing. I bounced around a little trying to avoid the storms. Well after stopping I started to notice some small tarpon so I tied on some 25 LB flouro leader just in case to give me a chance with 10 lb mono. I didnt hook a tarpon but did hook up this nice snook on a white soft plastic jerkbait. Was a really good fight on the light tackle. Lucky I took the time to tie some leader on because it was pretty chafed up afterwards. Took a quick pic and then took a few minutes to revive it. Swam off good. With these rains its a good time near any spillway.

Swung by a canal to kill some time this afternoon and managed this little freshwater snook. Gave me a couple of nice jumps as well.
