Re: Nice carp
There vegi eaters for the most part. I have used bread to catch most of mine. Ive seen them caught on straight up leafs tho. look for canals and lakes where they have just cut the grass and you should see quite a few romming and munching on top.

Re: Nice carp
I just use big bread chunks, roll a ball half the size of your fist.
You usually get carp and catfish this way down here.

Re: Nice carp
Well i am shocked a fish of that size would be worth about £600 in the uk a beautiful specimen, and know many anglers near where live would cry if they were eaten in this county but i do think its quite funny imaging their blubbering faces as im a sea angler hahahahha

Re: Nice carp
I used to target them all the time in CA. The best bait I found for them is kennel corn. Just open a can of corn and chum a place and fish right on the chum. It'll take about 30mins for the carp to find the chum. Use small hooks, #4 and just hook the corn on. Use the lightest weight you can. If you are using bread, don't even put any weight on it. The weight of the bread should let you cast a good distance.
Carp are very easy to spook, so tread very carefully and hide if they are feeding a few ft away, they can see you and stop feeding.
