I caught this nice 16-inch Pompano on a live Shrimp pinched in half and threaded on a #2 Owner circle hook with a standard slip sinker bottom rig while fishing for Sheepshead at the Gandy Bridge catwalk in Tampa Bay on November 18th.
We use the Doc's Goofy Jigs with teasers up Tampa Bay way for Pompano most of the time, and this was a nice surprise. It's my biggest Pompano ever.

STARS66--Thanks. That was a mighty fine meal. I cooked that one up for me and my gal. That Pomp was big enough to feed the two of us. She had never had Pompano before and she loved it.
That Sheepie in my avatar photo was actually caught from the jetty at Redfish Pass down in Captiva, but we get some good size Sheepshead up in Tampa Bay as well. The one in the photo went 21-inches and was caught on a three inch wide pass crab. My biggest up in the Tampa Bay area is about the same. There's some real good Sheepshead fishing on the West Coast. Right now the Sheepshead fishing is just starting to get real good and will stay that way all through Winter till around mid February.

First Bonefish.
Caught it on Halloween 2009 on a shrimp on a small live bait hook.
Cut the tail off and rigged it weedless.
Casted ahead of a school of tailers that was pushing across a flat.
7'6" Shimano rod with Stradic 3000fi with 10lb braid and 20lb flouro leader I believe it was.
