all were caught from shore and yes they were YUMMY!!!!!

went back the next day to fish the area from a Kayak with hopes to have my first back water slam from a yak I had lots of hook ups but nothing to show for my efforts that's the way it goes that's why its call FISHING and not CATCHING.

Nice fish Earl. Nobody believes me when I tell them I catch my biggest flounder on plugs. I use rapala DT crankbaits at SI, they clobber them. Way to go with the X-rap! Frentals-That's the biggest 3 spot I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure the all tackle record on 3 spots is just over 6lbs, what did that sucker weigh?

The holes in my ears are actually leftovers. When I moved down here from Philly I had orange dreadlocks down to the middle of my back, and holes in my earlobes I could pass a shot glass through. A haircut and a little plastic surgery, no problem. Here's a before and after shot.

I'm always down with a flounder mission. Between now and Friday, just say the word. My gear is already packed, there's gas in the Tahoe and I have a pass for SI.

I've honestly never done well at night, but I know the giggers have been doing their thing over in Valkaria/Grant. I think once we get our first legitimate cold front, and the water temp gets down around 74-75, they should start moving through pretty good. As far as spare lures go, just get yourself some chartreuse/olive/white tubes or grubs. They work fine and won't hurt your wallet too bad.

Can I add one here? (as opposed to starting another thread with the same species).
Caught Sat Aug 8, 2009 from my sister's dock on Dauphin Island, AL
on a 3" Gulp Shrimp (Moulting) on a 1/4 ounce jig head, 6 1/2' Shimano TX rod, Shimano TX 2000 w/6# Ande clear mono.
2nd biggest flounder I ever caught!
23" long, 19 1/2" girth and it weighed 5 1/4 pounds
