That's exactly where that is. That stretch gets pounded pretty good these days, but winter/spring is pretty good if you've got good eyes.

I saw a pair swimming together in April that were'nt so little. I see them often enough that I quit worrying about them. I have to agree that dragging dead fish behind you is probably not the best way to avoid their attention.

If people really knew just how big some of those bulls are that swim our ICW.
There would be alot less wading  I use to wade around at nite  all the time.
And when i was surf fishing, i would walk out to my waist.... Late at nite :nilly:

I had one close call at "Ponce Inlet" one nite, my dad and brother saw the tail break right behind me.
As i was walking out of the surf, and both thier faces were White!!! needless to say none of us never walk out
in the surf at nite.

Me..... I still wade around some, but i don't break the rules anymore.. :toast:
Again this is a million to one shot that a bull will get you, but even those odds
arent that good for me anymore.
Once you get older you quit taking chances....
I have fish that causeway and its pretty good late at nite, when all the crazy people go home :pistols:

This happen a while ago, but it still makes you think..

That red is the size of most people leg, and look at the bite

Wading is my passion. It will take more than a few toothy critters to keep me out of the water. I rarely keep fish when I'm out wading, so I don't have the whole 5lbs of chum hanging off my belt problem. The beach is a different story, I don't go in the water.
