Went last week Sunday and today to CH.5. days were pretty simillair both days. Wind was around 12 -15knots, water was a bit mixed up, and the shade was there. Tons of small snapper but only 15 over 10in and 4 over 11in. Both days caught a nurse sahrk and a small bonnethead. Went 1 for 5 on the grouper (one caught was only 17in). Saw 3 maks caught (all between 6-8lb range) and got nailed twice on a Rat-L-Trap. Early morning is the time to be there and the usual grunts, slippery dicks, yellowtail, and skipjack are all over the place.

Down to the bridges last weekend as I have recently given the secret to catching muttons
The shrimp are still big so I got me a few dozen as well as some cut Bait.
First night in the following morning we’re fairly unproductive. Packed up my game and headed south. Work like hell to try and get some panfish only ended up with three that were small enough to use. They look very healthy when I got to the bridge I was going to fish but by the time I got set up to had died so I’m now I’m down to one course it’s the biggest one. Managed to catch one more small one while at the bridge I was going to fish as night came. The tide change was very slow and long but once it did change the current was good and so was water clarity.

Fished through till the next day around lunch and ended up with one really nice 18 to 20 inch Grover and a permit at 33 to the fork. Permit released for obvious reasons if you want to see a pic ask around people have it as I have no social media and there’s no way I’m going to post a pic on this site from my phone.
Good for me I did not have a run in with the same FW see guy from my previous trip what a piece of foreskin his trainer was.

Nice permit dude! We actually saw a couple cruising around Long Key this morning. Fished today from 7-1 and ended up with about 20 yellow jacks and a handful of mangs. Crystal clear water. Very nice day to spend a few hours in the keys.

Jerry I know you were back to Broward on Sunday and most other working on Monday. So I didn't bother anyone.

Anyway, I had to go to LK with some googans on Sunday night (non-cancellable appointment)... Weather report was way off...it said 9mph wind and some rain... We got about 20~25 mph cold wind and heavy rain for about 4 hours non-stop starting around 1:30AM... Luckily we had to set up this canopy before rain... Mission was to stay dry...We left early Monday around 11:00AM based on local radar as there was another rain storm approaching ( not trusting anything from weather report at that point)... In the mornting, water color was bad and I jigged three 4 - 5Lb jacks and some lookdowns...four cut offs by hound fish or something... And there was one brave soul but unfortunately not well prepared...I saw him fishing before and after the raining storm... I don't know how he did...

That storm sounds like the one that hit Saturday night sometime around 10-11pm. Lightning included.
I didn’t find the larger y j ‘s but ended up with 3 nice bags of cleaned smaller ones.
Cleaned them at 15th street boat ramp. Too bad everyone that asked where they came from thinks I was out of PE on a boat. Oops
The shrimp are already looking like summer shrimp.

Fishing was slow yesterday and the tarpon nor barracudas were biting. Jumped only one tarpon and a live pinfish but had to work to get him to take it.

Small schools of Spanish mac’s Would come around on the bayside during slack tide. Managed to land one and lose one. The guys next to be took 2. They were caught on live shrimp on a white jig head. Wanted nothing to do with gotchas. Also had a bonnet head come over the rails.
