Looking to catch Redfish in Jupiter, FL

Post by MisterB561 »

Hey everybody, I grew up in Jupiter, FL and starting fishing heavily the last two years, primarily on foot. I'm looking to start targeting Reds. I could use some guidance in locating them. Also, I've been experimenting with artificials exclusively, I'm finding it is much more efficient for fishing on foot. Thanks for your input!

Travel north not really any spots outside the inlets and Juno during the mullet run to target reds with any regularity.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Red runs were good this year... I've caught enough reds for this year... I don't know if there are still there... Check out an hour before and after high tide at the south Jupiter inlet... Cast out to NE bound as far as you can... You don't need live bait for keeper(small) reds... If you catch cats, get out of there.
