Well used to fish out of freshwater as a kid. Not a lot but here and there...lots of dumb catfish mostly....no fancy rigs. But always wanted to get back into it later..but kept putting it off.
Timeflash: 15 yrs.

Old rods still sitting around....line crusted and broke up...replaced w/new cheapy rods. bought one reel to retro into one older rod. But wow fast forward to now and all the line technology and bait lures and to me it all looks so different from before...so much to learn and choose from. Anyway I've thrown a few lines out recently caught little things threw back out. Nothing I want to call my first real reel just yet.

im running one flourocarbon line...one braided....one monoflouro. 20lb....15lb...30lb. just bought a 50lb flouro leader line to try w/30lb.er.
Trying out different things trying to learn as much as possible.
Thanks for all the great reads...i guess i'll be googin and fubling here and there. But im doing my best to get with the etiquette and learn a few do's and dont's.
Im gonna post up for some advice in broward section drop by with 2 cents by all means.

I made it to the keys recently and the bridge on the way back out from Islamorada had some huge snooks....i mean 20 pounders easy but they were not biting on anything anyone threw at them.
