Well lets see, I'm a Florida native 52 years old. I have 3 grow childern 1 daughter 32, 2 sons 29 & 26 and of course my wife Cris. I grew up in Pompano Beach and have fished since I can remember. My father was a boat builder by day and commericial fisherman by night. I have many memories fishing with him when I was real little. I used to ride my bike and surf fish at the beach before the pier was built. For those of you that are familiar with and can remember when Wahoo Bay was not filled in by storms, I used to catch a lot of big snook in there always using nothing else but the old wooden Zara Spooks. That's where my father used to siene all his chum with his partner. The end used to fill up with glass minnows and pilchards and such. The snook were so large and plentiful back then that they were a nuisance getting in the net and ripping it up. I also used to catch macs bluefish, etc. in there. After my father stopped, I continued commercial fishing with a good friend but had to stop due to some health problems a couple of years back. I have fished every pier in Florida with the exception of Jacksonville. My favorite pier was the old Lake Worth pier before it was wiped out the first time. I continue to do any kind of fishing that I can, fresh, saltwater who cares, it's fishing.
