anybody ever fish off ft.lauderdale beach been out numerous times with just a little luck alotta bulls couple hammerheads but not much else. what are you useing for bait etc????? new to the surf usualy fish piers docks canals etc. any help is awesome or a cool fishing buddy

Welcome to the board.

This time year you can catch bluefish off the beach with any chunck bait. I find ballyhoo or sardines work good for me.

You will be booted around 9am when the lifeguards come on. If you get at sunrise you might be able to catch some pompanos. Use sandflees or shrimp.
