i've been fishing in blanchard park between dean and rouse for a while. near rouse, there is a dam. i've got a few bass at the base of the dam. a friend of mine caught 2 bass and a decent size gar yesterday in the middle of a t-storm. its the only time either of us have been able to consistently get them to bite. they're out there, just can't get them to bite on any thing. Constant top water action on the north east bank from the dam. good luck and let me know if you find anymore.

That is East Lake Toho in Kissimmee if I am not mistaken. They do rent boats here: http://www.eastlakefishcamp.net/Rentals.htmlfldoowop wrote:Can't remember the name of the lake in Kissimmee but it is large. Has a bait shop and small boats for rent.
You should be able to find it on the internet and mapquest.
If you do not have a boat, this lake is pretty tough to fish other than at the lock where Clap Simms Duda road intersects the canal (http://www.eastlakefishcamp.net/Rentals.html).
I have only been to Orlando fishing once but did the research, it seems that the best place to start would be this website, FIsh Orlando! http://myfwc.com/fishing/fishorlando/index.html.
I HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of the 15$ tracker boat rentals on Turkey Lake http://myfwc.com/fishing/fishorlando/fa ... ml#Turkey
Enjoy.
